Cara Gaumont, Outreach Specialist.Cara joined the Center staff as an Outreach Specialist in July 2007. She plans and organizes the Center’s Community Conversations in Lewiston-Auburn. She develops strategies to recruit Lewiston-Auburn residents to engage in conversations with the members of immigrant communities. The dialogues, facilitated by the Center's staff, focus on immigration, race, nationality, religion and culture within the Twin City communities.

Cara, a native of Lewiston, graduated from Smith College in May 2007 as a First Group Scholar with a B.A. in the Program for the Study of Women and Gender. While at Smith College, Cara was active in student-related support and safety issues regarding rape and sexual assault.
