CHERYL HAMILTON, Program Director
Cheryl Hamilton joined the Center staff in August 2008. In her position, Cheryl manages the center's communication activities, as well as the New Migration Project which focuses on reducing anti-immigrant bias in neighborhoods across the United States. Cheryl brings years of experience working with diverse populations as a trainer and consultant for refugee related programs. Most recently, she served as the National Coordinator for RefugeeWorks in Baltimore, a program of Lutheran Immigration and Refugee Service (LIRS). Prior to moving to Maryland, she was the program supervisor for the Portland and Lewiston Refugee collaborative between 2001-2003.

Cheryl is a graduate of Clark University with a degree in International Relations and Government. She is also a graduate of the Salt Institute in Portland where she studied documentary writing. A playwright and performer, Cheryl enjoys blending training, art and social justice together.
