CPHV knows that when students are anxious and scared, whether it is in their classrooms, hallways, or cafeterias, they are unable to focus on academics. Because of this, we have developed a broad assortment of harassment and bullying prevention workshops to help all members of a school community feel safe.
CPHV has designed a series of student-oriented programs to help schools address bullying and harassment. We work with public, private (day and boarding schools), and religious-based or parochial schools. Our programs are premised on the well-documented perspective that students are the key to creating safe, harassment free environments in schools.
Elementary School Programs
We have two specially designed elementary bullying prevention workshops, for students in grades three and four, and for students in grades five and six. These workshops use fun, interactive exercises to teach students what bullying is, the impact that it has on all students, and safe and easy ways to interrupt bullying when they see it in their school.
- Bullying Prevention Workshop for Third and Four Grade: This is a 1 ½ hour workshop conducted in the classroom for fifteen to twenty-five students. In addition to creative activities and role playing, the workshop uses the acclaimed children’s book Say Something by Peggy Moss.
- Elementary Student Leader Workshop: This is a day-long workshop for a group of up to forty, fifth and sixth grade students who have influence over their peers (positive or negative), or leadership potential. The workshop contains age- appropriate concepts and activities.

College and University Programs
On too many campuses, students regularly hear degrading language targeting women, racial, ethnic and religious minorities, gays and lesbians, and other groups. To help schools address this problem, CPHV has developed a series of programs for designed specifically for various college and university student constituencies. These include programs for :
- Residential Advisors
- Team Captains
- Student Leaders (Student Government, or other Activities)
- And other students
Our leadership programs offer students training to increase their understanding of the negative impact of degrading language and harassment. It also includes a critical component in which students develop and practice low key intervention strategies.
In addition to these leadership programs, CPHV will also lead a series of Facilitated Discussions with students, faculty and administrators, focusing on harassment related issues and offer a Training of Trainers Conference to prepare teams to continue this important harassment prevention work on campus.
