Lado Lodoka joined the Center in 2010 as a Facilitator for the New Migration and Unity Projects. A native of Sudan, Lado resettled to the United States in 1995 and attended Portland High School.
Upon graduation, Lado enrolled at the University of Southern Maine while also serving in the U.S. Army Reserves. He graduated from USM in 2002 with a bachelor’s degree in political science. During his term with the Army, he traveled to Korea, Germany and Kuwait. Most recently, Lado worked as a Case Manager with Community Counseling in Portland, helping new Mainers adjust to the emotional challenge of resettlement and connecting with local resources. Lado enjoys writing, reading and fashion design.
