Overview

“I will remember to speak up for others who cannot speak up for themselves. I will also be careful with my choice of words.” - High School Student

Our Philosophy

We believe in the power of young people and adults to create schools that are safe and inclusive for every student. We know that every day, too many students face name-calling, harassment and bias that can have damaging emotional, physical and academic impacts. No student should have to go to school fearing humiliation and hurt, and often a small, simple gesture from another student or adult can fundamentally change a student’s experience of school.  We provide young people and adults with the skills to intervene safely and effectively in situations of bullying and harassment.

Our Approach

Our work spans K-12 schools, both public and private, colleges and universities, boarding schools, and a myriad of other educational environments. First, we work closely with each school to assess the particular issues of bias or harassment that are most prevalent in their community. Next, we collaborate with school personnel to offer a tailored combination of educational workshops, dialogue programs and, if necessary, crisis response to address the school’s needs. Finally, we offer on-going resources and guidance to ensure people feel supported as they courageously apply the lessons they have learned.
